Jay-Z Not A Big Fan Of President Bush

Last night I caught Jay-Z and Mary J. Blige’s “Heart of the City” tour at the Verizon Center. Hands-down the most I have ever paid (and will ever pay) for a live-music performance, and hands-down one of the best concerts I have ever seen.
Mary makes me cry real human baby tears. She performed for a good hour-plus with no trace of been-there-done-that. I don’t know how her vocal chords can push that hard. She is not a mortal.
I’ve seen Jay-Z before, and he was solid as always. That man does not lack for confidence. I’m sure it doesn’t hurt that he’s (probably) married to one of the smokingest women in the world.
There were a number of bring-the-house-down moments, including when Jay closed “Public Service Announcement” with a huge shot of President Bush on the screen. Lots of booing. I mean, lots.
